George Bridgerton is the youngest son of Colin and Penelope Bridgerton.
Georgie at the age of three does not yet speak prompting his parents to travel to London and seek advice from Colin's sister, Daphne's husband, Simon Basset, Duke of Hastings who experienced the same issue as a child. Simon Basset lacking the personal experience to give any knowledgable advice, tells Colin Bridgerton to simply love, talk and praise Georgie as well as to spend quality time with his son. Probably due to his experience with childhood alalia, followed by stammering, Simon believes that George Bridgerton is set to have a difficult childhood.
