Gareth St. Clair, Baron St. Clair, known as Lord St. Clair, is Hyacinth's husband and Gregory's best friend.

Early life[]
Gareth was conceived during his mother's affair to Edward St. Clair, her husband's younger brother. Gareth grew up alongside his elder half-brother, George. His brother and mother passed away at a young age, leaving him being raised by a cold, distant, abusive father, Lord Richard St. Clair.
At the age of 18, he found out that he was biologically not even his son, and that his actual father, Edward, who he thought to be his uncle, had died. He was practically raised by his maternal grandmother, Lady Danbury.
Appearance and Personality[]
According to Hyacinth, Gareth is a very handsome, funny, and intelligent young man, and he had always made her think of him as a fierce, predatory lion, full of restless energy. His eyes are blue, and his hair is a golden brown, curiously hovering between light brown and dark blond, and is always disheveled. Gareth liked to defy convention by keeping it just long enough to tie in a small ponytail at the nape of his neck. He is tall, but not too tall, with the elegance and strength of an athlete and a face that is not quite perfect, but nevertheless handsome. Gareth shares his uncle Richard's nose, eyes, and set of shoulders.
Gareth has a charming personality, capable of wooing almost anyone, even Hyacinth. He also possesses a remarkable wit, responding with an eagerness to rival his grandmother. His lack of propriety and handsome face have earned him a reputation as a rake. With his wife, he is provocative and loves to irritate her, especially when he comes up with an answer that leaves her speechless.
