Edmund Bridgerton, also called Lord Bridgerton, was the 8th Viscount Bridgerton as well as the Bridgerton patriarch. He was also the husband of Violet Bridgerton (née Ledger); with whom he shared eight children who all were named in alphabetical order.
Biography[]
Edmund grew up in Kent alongside his elder sister, Billie, and his younger siblings, Georgie and Hugo. Upon his father's death, he inherited the title as the Viscount Bridgerton.
He eventually married Violet Ledger, and the two had eight children together.
Appearance and Personality[]
Described as very handsome, Edmund was a very large man, tall like his son, Benedict; strong and athletic, with broad shoulders and powerful muscles. He had thick dark brown hair, dark brown eyes, and a wide, crooked, lazy smile. It is said that his son, Benedict, most resembles him. His laugh was the warmest ever.
Unlike other husbands and fathers in high society, Edmund was devoted to his wife, Violet, and his children. His love as a father is highly regarded by all his children, who saw his and Violet's marriage as the ideal match and Edmund as the loving father to emulate. His death left a huge hole in the family and a legacy of love that will never be replaced by the Bridgerton siblings.
